The Catholic Community Foundation for the Roman
Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of San Antonio is a public 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a solid financial
future for our local Catholic community, the Archdiocese of San
Antonio and South Texas.
Mission
The Catholic Community Foundation has been organized and will
operate to receive, manage and safeguard funds for the purpose of
developing and administering financial support for services and
programs sponsored or supported by the Archdiocese of San Antonio
and otherwise to assist in serving the general needs of the clergy,
parish, religious and laity of the Catholic Church of South Texas.
History
The Catholic Community Foundation was officially formed on September
8, 2006 in the State of Texas. Archbishop José Gomez marked the establishment
of the Foundation with a prayer service at San Fernando Cathedral
in San Antonio, Texas on September 21, 2006.

The logo for the Catholic Community Foundation was inspired by
the cross that is believed to have topped the original 18th Century
San Fernando Cathedral. This important religious icon was inherited
and preserved by members of the Herrera family of San Antonio, Texas.
